Born in 1980, Kenan Ece studied theatre and economics at Davidson College, NC. Performing on stage in numerous plays in college, Kenan continued his training at the Gaeity School of Acting in Dublin where he moved upon graduation. He started his professional acting career in Ireland's popular prime-time soap opera "Fair City" where he appeared in 13 episodes. While working in a production of "Julius Caesar" at the Abbey, he continued his training by taking acting for camera classes at the Irish Film Academy. He acted in numerous short films and continued his stage acting with the IFA Theatre Troop and took the stage in "Antigone Interactive" at the Dublin Fringe Festival. He appeared for the second time on Irish television as the Spanish matador Carlos in Katherine Lynch's comedy show
In Turkey, Kenan landed his first lead role in a cinema film --"Yuregine Sor" -- directed by
Yusuf Kurcenli where he acted alongside
Tuba Buyukustun and Hakan Eratik. He played "Namik Andac" in "Samanyolu" -- a 29 episode TV drama series produced by Ay Yapim. Currently he is starring as "Emir Zahir" in the comedy series "Deli Sarayli" sharing the lead role with Perran Kutman, Cetin Tekindor, Melis Birkan, Ozge Ozpirincci and Oner Erkan.
