Adrian Martinez is an actor, writer, and producer with over 80 film and TV credits.
Adrian started in high school as a track star on NBC's "Unsolved Mysteries".
Over the past year, Adrian completed a coveted movie sidekick trifecta with some of the top comedic talents in the business-- Zach Galifianakis sidekick, on Focus features' "It's Kind of a Funny Story,"
Will Ferrell's sidekick in Lionsgate's, "Casa de mi Padre,"
And the just completed sidekick role to star and director, Ben Stiller, in Fox's "The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty".
Adrian received attention as "Hector the hugger" in "Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close," opposite Oscar winner, Sandra Bullock.
A proven versatile actor, Mr. Martinez successfully jumped into the horror genre, saving the day in Dimension films' "Piranha 3DD".
Adrian has been seen in a wide variety of character portrayals including Jim Sheridan's In America, opposite Katie Holmes in Pieces of April, HBO's Don't Let Me Drown, The Interpreter, Taxi, And Mona, which he also co-produced. Mona has aired several times on PBS' indie night.
Many audiences know Adrian from "Mail Order Wife", a mockumentary, where his portrayal was so convincing, audiences thought the film was a Documentary.
Mr. Martinez's TV work includes a recurring guest star in CBS's A Gifted Man,", opposite Patrick Wilson, HBO's "Flight of the Conchords,"and Jon Stewart's "Three Strikes," for Comedy Central, as well as over forty TV guest spots, including "Sex and the City," "The Sopranos", all "Law and Orders," Conan O'Brien, Barry Levinson's "The Jury".
Theatre audiences know Mr. Martinez from his daring off-Broadway performances in Jose Rivera's "Massacre," for Rattlestick theater, "Our Lady of 121st Street," at the Union Square theatre and "The Last Days Of Judas Iscariot," at the Public theatre, both directed by Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman, and written by Tony nominee, Stephen Adly Guirgis for the LAByrinth theater company, of which Adrian is a member. Mr. Martinez is a long time collaborator of Jose Rivera, having done productions and readings with Jose in New York, Atlanta (Alliance), Chicago (Goodman), and Los Angeles. Notable commercial work includes the immensely successful "Cheesehead guy" from the State Farm campaign opposite NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers, as well as many other national spots.
As a writer, Mr. Martinez' screenplay, "Manny," was selected for the Nalip writers' lab, and producer's lab, where he acted in and directed a professional cast and crew. "Manny" also made it to the second round for the Sundance writers' lab.
